it is not essential to be a member of a club to race in
open events in Scotland, it certainly makes life a lot
easier. Fellow club members will give you advice on which
events to do, on how to prepare for racing, on what
equipment to buy, etc. and generally make competing a
more enjoyable experience. If you don't want to start racing straightaway, then join other club members for the regular club runs, discovering the quieter roads around Fife, and the cyclist friendly cafe stops. Or seek coaching advice from Mark Young, our club coach, and have your rise to race fitness monitored on the club's Computrainer.
